Erst Cash – dann Sex! Zweihundert Dollar verlangt Callboy Tyler alias Ian für gewisse Stunden. Dem gutaussehenden, frisch beziehungsgeschädigten Conrad ist es das wert. Selbst einen Tausender pro Nacht lässt der Eigentümer einer erfolgreichen New Yorker Werbeagentur derzeit gern für puren Genuss ohne Komplikationen springen. Als Ian ihm gesteht, er brauche das Geld, um seine Freundin endlich vor den Traualtar führen zu können, bietet er dem "Hetero" in Nöten sogar eine gutbezahlte Praktikantenstelle an.

Doch das Photoshooting für die neue Kampagne mit einem exzentrischen Modefotografen, einer nymphomanischen Auftraggeberin, zickigen Models und dem sportlichen, an Ian äußerst interessierten Werbeleiter Michael hat für den angeblich straighten Praktikanten ungeahnte Folgen...

Zunächst mutet die romantische Komödie als schwule Variante eines Julia-Roberts-Film an. Und den "Pretty Man" in Gestalt des trainierten australischen Einwanderers Ian hätte wohl jeder gern in seiner Wanne liegen. Doch Regisseur LeMay hat für seinen Rentboy mit Herz und Body im tough-schrillen Big Apple noch ein paar Verwicklungen mehr in petto als das Cinderella-Märchen.

_Conrad has a hot body and owns a successful advertising firm. It seems he has everything under control. In fact, that’s his problem. He is such a control freak that his boyfriend has dumped him and his employees barely tolerate him. Not ready to date again, Conrad hires a sexy Australian hustler.

After all, if you’re shelling out $200 American for sex, you’re in control, right? But something in this hustler, whose real name is Ian, charms Conrad. In a moment of "honesty," he tells Conrad he is straight, engaged, and only hustling to pay for his expensive wedding.

Ian really wants to be a photographer. When Conrad offers him a job assisting one of the biggest photographers around in exchange for occasional sex, it seems too good to pass up. Or, is he about to loose his soul in one of Conrad’s control games?

With spies on the set of the photo shoot, a cranky photographer bossing him around, a distrustful boss, the ritzy fashion client trying to lay him and an assistant who is a white slave trader, Ian will have a difficult time navigating this maze of desires and deceit.

When Romance starts to bloom with his art director boss, he must find a way to face his past and be honest with himself. Quirky, sexy and moving, 200 AMERICAN is worth shelling out for.
